  • "Wow, what a book! As a Soundgarden fan, music lover and collector of books on my musical heroes, this book is incredible. Jaye and Michael English (I hope I have the names right) have put together a masterpiece of photos, posters , setlists, quotes and stories from fans of all walks. This 7 pound 550+ page behemoth is a must have for anyone who loves this band. With all due respect, it blows away any other book of it's kind. PJ-20 and Jimmy Page's recent photo-documentary are just 2 coffee table books that pale in comparison. It may seem a bit pricey, but the book is absolutely worth it. Amazing that less than a thousand first edition copies have been sold, This book is marvelous."

  • "A beautiful piece of work."

    - Rod Yates, Editor/Rolling Stone
  • It was such a privilege to be included in this beautiful and meticulously made book. All of the stunning images are high quality and the book itself has professional grade binding and cover art. I can't think of one thing that would change. It's obvious that a lot of careful consideration and love went into creating this book. It's truly fantastic and worth every penny. It graces my coffee table and always becomes a topic of discussion among guests. Often times I will sit down with some coffee and flip through the pages reading and admiring the photography and storytelling. I'm proud to own my very own copy!

  • "Photofantasm Soundgarden: Nudedragons to King Animal" is a lavishly produced, time-capsule tribute to Soundgarden – written by and for the Seattle band’s legion of fans. The encyclopedic volume is like no other book of its kind -- packed with photos, stories and vivid reminiscences. A must-have for Soundgarden fans

    - Gene Stout, music critic/freelance writer
  • Absolutely stunning! There aren't words to describe the immensity of this book and what it contains and what it means. I can only liken looking through it to the feeling you get just before a show when the lights go down, the curtains go up, and your entire body is buzzing in anticipation.

    - Julia H
  • It's a bonafide smorgasbord of visceral bounty second only to the sound.

  • 5 stars out of 5. Simply a beautiful piece of art disguised as a book. Even the texture of the cover was exceptional. I am moved by your devotion to the band, the era, the music, the craft and my family. Thank you for allowing me the honor of being part of this one of a kind tribute.

  • When I first saw the package on my doorstep, I had to take a moment to chill and relax, because I knew exactly what it was. I had been waiting for the book inside for a long time (which it wasn't really, but with extreme excitement comes a prolonged sense of time expansion), and it was finally here. I opened it up with shaking hands to behold Photofantasm...a well made, absolutely incredible book made by and for the fans of Soundgarden. The book itself is incredible, full of amazing fan photos and stories from around the world. The people who submitted their pics and stories for Photofantasm are the hardcore, dedicated fans...the fans who rejoiced and did the happy dance all over the house when they heard Soundgarden were reuniting, a major dream come true for a lot of us. The Artists who contributed share their stories and memories of times spent with Soundgarden, giving the lucky owners of Photofantasm even more than we hoped for. There's no way to ever let Jaye and Mike know what this book means to us...the Soundgarden fans who can now let their favorite band know exactly how much they mean to us. Thank you for remembering and honoring our beautiful friend Tiffany Patterson-Gross. Much love and respect to you both. Live...Love...Tiff!

    - Laurie Rosso
  • It's a cracking book and beautifully produced in every way. I have everything they've ever done including Chris's solo stuff and some rarities; and it's about time somebody did them justice in print as it were!! Thanks for your work!

    - John Bottomley
  • Congrats on this amazing collection of photos, stories and memories. I was honored to be asked to submit mine but I had no idea how much all the others were going to affect me. What an amazing trip through time. The photos are brilliant, unreal and awe inspiring but the stories are what truly get you. A huge thank you to all the amazing artists that shared with the world their personal affections of this truly life and world altering band! If you haven't picked up your copy do it now before it's no longer available, this is not a book you can afford to wait for, it's a must have NOW!

    - Kevin Martin, Candlebox lead vocalist
  • "Photofantasm" is much like Soundgarden itself: heavy, beautiful, addicting, and epic in scope. You can almost feel the pages vibrate. Congratulations to Jaye and Mike for conceiving and then producing a love letter by and for fans.

    - Joanna Johnson (Jeff Ament's Army)
  • Photofantasm finally arrived in Melbourne Australia on 25th August. I picked it up on 26th but left it wrapped in its protective covering until the evening of the 27th, my birthday. With hubby, Rob, watching I unlocked the treasures held within with great excitement and anticipation. It was a spine-tingling moment. The fun we both had browsing through those spectacular photos, pointing out those familiar faces to go with the familiar names, faces we had met in person and faces known only through the Knights. It was like browsing through old photos of beloved family members. The Gorge photos took us back to Robert's birthday spent with fellow Soundgarden fans in a spectacular setting. It was some of the best times of my life, that's for sure. Jaye and Mike, what a sterling job you have done with the production of this book, as it was your baby from the start. And what wonderful contributions made by all the Knights. It truly is a treasure worth the wait, and I encourage those who have not yet brought a copy to do so. It is a work of art of which everyone who contributed, and especially Jaye and Mike, can be proud. I know I am. I will savor it for the rest of my life. It is a link and a reminder of something very special.

    - Dianne McDonald-Topping
  • A splendid book, a jewel that exceeded my expectations! Hats off to Jaye, Mike and all the people who put it together, it was a long wait but it's well worth it, the result is a work of art that I'll treasure and show off. Leafing through its glossy pages feels like being on tour with the band! Wow! I'm so so happy and honored to be part of this project!

    - Anna Gastaldi
  • There's nothing like having your small place in the history of your favorite band. That's why I look at Photofantasm and I can't stop saying, "Is this real? Am I really part of this?". And that's why I'll be eternally grateful to Jaye and Mike for giving me this unique opportunity. They did something epic by pulling together people from all over the globe and joined their pictures, artwork, words, stories and dreams making it real. Photofantasm perfectly captures our devotion to Soundgarden and the crazy joy to have 'em back... you know, they've been away for too long. Everything in the book is beautiful. The level of quality is insane and the attention to detail is stunning. So many fantastic shots, very interesting stories, killer art. You can feel the fire of passion by just touching the pages, and there are tons of pages... Photofantasm is a damn heavy weight! Goin' through Photofantasm is an incredible experience. It takes us on a journey through slices of time captured from the lives of many people as it touches on their stories. The sense of sharing is so intense that you feel as if you are flipping through your family album. Photofantasm isn't simply a book. It's a huge act of love. The loudest of love.

    - Gianluca Sirri
  • 6 out of 5? Higher maybe? This is a truly incredible book. I was almost afraid to open it after I unwrapped it...but really glad I did. Amazing quality in the binding and printing. Photographs are incredible. Content is superb. It's just an awesome piece of art. Thanks so much!!!

    - Jesse Beard
  • As I backwards fell into Soundgarden love and appreciation by way of Audioslave and Chris Cornell's solo career, I hadn't the slightest hope of hearing my favorite tunes played live by the original lineup until Chris' fateful New Year's tweet. Before I knew it, any funds I thought about setting aside for conventional vacations took a no questions asked back seat to following Soundgarden on tour - twenty-four shows in seventeen cities/eight states/two countries...a handful less than Jaye & Mike ;) The music has helped me through some rough times, and I'd be lying if I said there weren't moments when upcoming tour dates (and reunion with my fan-family!) were only thing on the horizon I had to look forward to. Seeing them live suspends reality. After reading prior reviews, there's not much I can say about this book that hasn't already been said. It's as heavy as "4th of July" and as exhausting as the pit during "Rusty Cage." Jaye & Mike did a marvelous job of collecting fan photos and stories that are a thrill to read - endless thanks to them for giving me the chance share my own story of a chance encounter with a friend of the fellas' (page 202!). I'm also in awe of the work they have done with regard to securing so much print work and art - right down to the posters sold at every show! - further reminding me of the pretty dime I need to drop on some quality framings... This book holds more amazing memories than all four of my high school yearbooks and will inspire nostalgic moments each time I catch a glimpse by the copy I have on display for friends and family. My second copy is going into a safe deposit box.

    - Annita De Giglio
  • This book is a labor of love and it shows. So much attention to detail, at almost 600 pages it's hard to believe the level of quality that continues throughout the entire book. I was very impressed and honored to be included in this beautiful book.

    - EMEK, Graphic Artist
  • I always enjoy looking at killer pix of my favorite rock n' roll bands. 'Photofantasm' certainly fulfills my required Soundgarden photo quotient!

    - Greg Prato, 'Grunge is Dead' author
  • Such a high quality work of art and so much fun to read! Love seeing the artwork and set list for each show. All the photos and artwork are well done, and the stories are so entertaining! When I opened the book one of the first things I saw was a photo of my daughter and other familiar faces which brought back memories of the show we attended. Having watched friends as they attended the shows at the time, and now being able to relive the memories through the book, is something special and to be treasured for years to come. I'm honored to be one of the contributors and the book proceeds go to a great cause. An outstanding piece of music history brought to life from a unique collaboration between many people from all over the world!

    - Janet Hall
  • Hands down the coolest project I've ever contributed to and I'm proud to say that my work can share space with writers/artists/musicians I've looked up to for many years for inspiration. Fans of Soundgarden, or awesome coffee table montage books, will dig every page of this tome.

    - John Frazzetta
  • This book is breathtaking and glorious. It's a work of art. A pure labor of love. The quality of the materials, photos, content and testimonials is superb. It is such a joy to read and enjoy, and a wonderful documentary of the rebirth of one of the greatest bands to emerge from Seattle. The love shared by the authors and contributors -'the fans'- is apparent and their pictures and stories are a treat. It is so fun to see so many friends in this masterpiece. A must read!

    - Christine McLeod
  • For the true fan, this is the definitive book documenting Soundgarden's return to greatness.

    - Dimitri Coats, OFF! guitarist and Burning Brides front-man
  • This book is so amazing and beautifully done. The photos are amazing and I love reading the stories from fans like myself! Well worth the wait!!!

    - Christina Nelson
  • A stunning reflection of the modern age of Soundgarden. The pages of Photofantasm are alive with the raw mystical energy of seeing this band perform, it perfectly captures the passion of the community of fans from around the world as well as peers who contributed their images and memories to stitch together the narrative of this book. As with the music of Soundgarden the quality of Photofantasm is of the utmost level from the binding to the content and will surely bring a rise of excitement and memories every time I open the cover.

    - J Becker
  • Wow!! It's really a fantastic book! The layout and pictures are great and it's cool reading in on the insight of so many others. Very very cool!

    - Chad Channing, Before Cars and Bleach-era Nirvana drummer
  • It's lovely, the photos are such great quality and while so far I barely had time to skim it, just wanted you to know I'm happy with the production. REALLY well done. Can't wait to spend time with it. Thank you for your dedication and hard work!...talk about a labor of love. I hope SG finds time to look through it and feel our love, our passion for their music, and well, them. :)

    - Tosh
  • This book is bad ass! Worth every penny!

    - Michelle Meissner
  • I found Soundgarden in recent years (like 2013). Seeing them perform live was profoundly life-changing for me and my husband. I very shortly thereafter found the Knights. All I can say is, our guys have the best fans around. This book is beautifully put together from start to finish. It's heavy, gorgeously bound, and the pictures are dark and lush, just like the band that inspired it. It is a stunning tribute. But maybe my favorite part, is seeing the stories from my fellow Knights, some of whom I have now met in person. Jaye and Mike, a HUGE thank you to you, and all the Knights, on this amazing labor of love.

    - Nancy Crossley
  • Got the book, AMAZING! Congrats on the book, an incredible job. I learned a ton and there are some beautiful images in there!

    - Kenny Stoff, Director of Photography, "By Crooked Steps" video
  • This book is truly a collectible for all Soundgarden fans. The size, quality, and complete coverage of the return of Soundgarden that was assembled by Spoondog Entertainment and fans of the band is a fantastic bookmaking achievement! Every chapter is filled with reminders of the shows, venues, posters, and thoughts from the fans that help the reader reconnect with the feelings and experience of attending the show. The challenge of assembling nearly three years of photos, thoughts, and reviews from fans is now complete - setting the bar so high that I doubt we will ever see anything quite like it again! Thanks to the team that made all of us Soundgarden fans feel more like a crazy family with some of the loudest and rowdiest reunions!

    - Gary Lyle
  • When I heard my Photofantasm book had arrived, I was still at work, and had to wait another 5 hours before rushing home to open the box. When I did, I was literally speechless . It was just glorious. From the moment you open the front cover, you are instantly drawn into gorgeous artwork intermingled with lively , descriptive excerpts of experiences of different fans at different shows, as well as testimonials that take you back in time , and for me, the moment I remembered hearing that first Soundgarden song and the thrill that came with it . There is palpable energy actually emanating off of the photos. You can just feel the excitement, and the pictures put you right in the mix! To me this is also a study in absolute passion and determination to represent what so many people feel , but have a difficult time organizing into a singular concrete form, much less a collective one. Through this book , Mike and Jaye English were able to represent exactly what kind of outcome can result when music moves us , and moves our souls. I feel the heart and soul in every page and I see it in the faces of all the fans that contributed with their words, or just with their presence. This book takes everyone's flash of memory, or favorite song , favorite moment with Soundgarden and embodies it in a tangible, long lasting treasure trove that will be there to lose ourselves in whenever the moment moves us. Thank you for this gift Jaye and Mike

  • I am in love with this book! Photofantasm is a true love letter from fans around the world to Soundgarden. I am truly honored to be among the many, many fans, photographers, artists, and writers who contributed to this masterpiece. The book is a thorough celebration of a very special time period for Soundgarden fans - both existing, longtime fans re-experiencing the magic that first drew them to the band, as well as new fans beginning their journey of love for the band. I can't wait to devour every word and image from cover to cover.

    - Nanci Freed

    - Craig Wedren, Composer for film and TV, songwriter, singer, Shudder to Think front man
  • There's so much love about this book! By fans for fans, it's amazing! It's a book that couldn't have ever been put together by the band or management. It's got a unique perspective that could have only came from the love of true dedicated fans. Sooooo cool... Thank you for having me be a part of it!

    - Justin Hampton, Graphic Artist
  • Gorgeous book. I had seen some of these photos online before Photofantasm came out, but nothing compares to the high definition prints in these books. Added details, fan stories, and photos of familiar faces makes the book feel like reliving the tour. A book by the fans, for the fans, and dedicated to one very special fan- it's so much more than a book.

    - Maggie
  • Very well put together. Absolutely loaded with content, don't know where to begin!

    - Michael Vu
  • This book is AMAZING!!!! It is one of the most beautiful books I've seen or owned!!! To have my memories in this book with my daughter is one of the treasured memories we will have for a lifetime! This band has given me the best friends one could ever ask for and are there when needed! As I now go through my journey in fighting cancer, this book is my blessing and will help me get through one of my toughest journeys yet!!! I love Soundgarden and their music keeps me fighting......as Tiffany would say......Just keep rowing! Thank you to everyone who helped make this book possible! Makes me feel like I was at every show!!! What an amazing feeling that is!!!

  • Got home late last night to notice a package had arrived on my doorstep... I immediately knew my copy had arrived. I have been waiting with the utmost patience all day today to sit down, open it and have plenty of time to soak in all the beautiful memories of my own and other knights across the globe. I'm in awe of the book's size, strength in binding and beauty and just being on page 12 and I've already experienced so many emotions..... I couldn't even explain this feeling other than it is euphoric. My eyes are filled with tears of happiness and joy as I relive these memories now and will continue to have them to forever cherish whenever I choose. Thank you to Jaye and Mike English from the bottom of my heart for making this compilation a reality. As a Soundgarden fan for nearly 30 years and certainly for the rest of my life I am forever grateful.

    - Cara Kokel
  • Standing in my kitchen, cooking dinner for my family and I hear *DING DONG* I gasp in excitement because I know it's the UPS guy with my copy of Photofantasm! Completely flawless and professional quality, it was such a joy to skim through the pages and see all the love for Soundgarden showcased in one place. The photos featured are just outstanding and I look forward to reading all the interviews more in depth when I have some free time. So happy to have bought this book and contributed to the great cause the funds are going to. Thanks Mike & Jaye!!!

    - Allyse Salinas
  • Just went through the book and it looks awesome!

    - Mike Campanile
  • Photofantasm is the coolest band documentary book I have seen. Focusing primarily on photography, the images draw you in and let you live the story of the band's reunion. Working so closely with Soundgarden since the reunion, (concert visuals, album packages, music videos, etc), it's awesome to see a lot of that time and work documented in flawless layouts that carry you from page to page. It's hard to put it down once you have it in hand. I am honored to be part of it, and thank Jaye and Mike for the inclusion. I hope they release one of these every 5 years. ;-)

    - Josh Graham, Creative director, artist, musician
  • Rating: 11/11...You've never seen anything like this and chances are, any subsequent efforts will pale feebly if held up to Photofantasm in comparison. But that shouldn't dissuade future fan bases from trying: eloquent and legitimate adoration such as this is never, ever a bad thing... It exists not just as a celebration of the band's catalog and output but also as a testament to how a little band from Seattle unified a worldwide community through a durable - if not unbreakable - connection of emotion that the music built. • My name is Marcelo Jacoto, I'm from Brazil, and I'm contacting you to confirm receipt of the book "Photofantasm" in my house. I would like to thank Jaye & Mike English immensely for the wonderful work done with this book. I follow Soundgarden (and all the other works that have involved the career of Chris Cornell) since 1992, I had the opportunity to see Chris and Soundgarden more than 10 times at shows in South America in the last 5 years, and unfortunately only I became aware of the book after Chris's death. Your work helps to maintain Cornell's wonderful and unforgettable legacy and brings a bit of happiness to the fans in the face of this recent tragedy. I saw and relived all the emotions I had with Soundgarden (my daily soundtrack for the last 25 years) through the pages of "Photofantasm". Once again, thank you very much for this beautiful work, for your contribution to the Canary Foundation and for the beautiful tribute to Tiffany Patterson-Gross. Big hugs to all.

    - Marcelo Jacoto
  • For those of us who have loved this band from way back their reunion seemed nothing short of a jaw dropping miracle. I can't tell you how pleased I am to have a copy of this book. Jaye and Mike English captured the joy of the return of Soundgarden in a way I wouldn't have believed possible. PHOTOFANTASM is a trip through the first few years back in minute detail. If you missed any of the shows it's cool - they'll make you feel like you were there.

    - Rob Barron
  • Wow. This book is first class. It is massive. The quality is astounding - glossy, high-quality photographs. I am in love with all the insight from those who witnessed the comeback firsthand. I can't wait to really delve into the book. It is a treasure and keepsake for sure!

  • Psyched the GIGART poster for the Soundgarden show in Uncasville, CT was featured in this awesome book. This is just a high quality collection of amazing live photos, rock posters and more, and I appreciate being part of it.

  • I agree 100% with all these great reviews, the book is outstanding. From the size and quality of the covers and pages to the photographs themselves - I was blown away. It was like a walk down memory lane. I love the way it's organized and was very impressed when I got to the photos from the NY Jones Beach show which I attended. Thanks for the memories which I'll now have forever.

  • Jaye & Mike English's massive photobook (I weighed it - just shy of 7lb) is special not only because of its quality, but because of its provenance... Photofantasm draws on the most powerful and positive resource any band can have - its fanbase. This book is by them, and for them. A magic mirror held up to the band by those who love it, reflecting and projecting. In many ways, it's simply a reply....only people with a profound love and understanding of their subject could even begin to make a book like this. (Read the full review here)

  • There are so many incredible photos throughout this book it's a must for any die-hard Soundgarden fan! ...The work, time & money they put into the project is amazing ...The final project is breathtaking. (Read the full article here)

    - Richard Hanson
  • I'm very proud to have contributed to this absolute MONSTER of a book. Kudos to Jaye and Mike English, who worked their asses off putting this thing together! It's a must for any Soundgarden fan.

    - Mark Yarm, Author of Everybody Loves Our Town: An Oral History of Grunge
  • Appropriately, Photofantasm is both heavy and epic. This is a remarkably well done homage to one of Seattle's greatest bands.

    - Bruce Pavitt, Sub Pop cofounder and author of Experiencing Nirvana: Grunge in Europe, 1989 and Sub Pop USA
  • I'm a hardcore SG fan and I'm more than proud and honored to have designed 5 original illustrations for Photofantasm (each of 'em opening a section of the book). What an achievement, Jaye & Mike! Tons of pages with the highest of quality. Great photography, great art, great stories. Photofantasm is such a beautiful creature and makes me feel ALIVE in the Superunknown!

    - Photocoyote, Visual Dude
  • What a beauty! Gorgeous! There's not much I can say, that hasn't already been said... Superb quality. You can feel the love and passion on every page! The ultimate fan book! Honoured to have been a tiny part of this amazing project! Thanks Jaye & Mike!

    - Cecilia Cordoba
  • "Photofantasm" is so utterly beautiful. I'm blown away by not only its huge bulk, but also the fantastic design and compilation thanks to the dedication and work of Jaye and Mike, their team and us global contributors. What a wonderful thing, seeing pictures of the band AND so many fans whipped up in the euphoria that concerts elicit from us! This book runs rings around the quality and quantity of most other photo books about musicians that I've ever seen. The design and layout are of a superb standard, while the extra time and care taken to get the right binding has definitely paid off. As an advocate for crowdsourcing, I'm proud to see that this book is a shining example of what successful projects can achieve. This is an accomplishment generated by the crowd, to the crowd and for the crowd. Not all of us are professional photographers. Not all of us have the fancy cameras and the press passes and the paycheques. But we do all have stories to tell, memories to share and pictures that capture a perfect moment in time. Our passion is just as important - if not more important - than anything professional photographers and publishing houses could ever produce! I come from a background of contributing and running fan websites for a couple of other bands so I empathise so much with the entire reason for this project. And with this book's proceeds going to charity, it's extra special. I'm very humbled to have been part of such a project. My little heart is happy.

    - Sara
  • Jaye and Mike were able to share their passion and to share our passion in an incredible book. Your generosity for the charity and tenacity to make this book makes it a unique jewel, filled with emotion, life, hope and values. I am dazzled by every page I turned, illustrations, anecdotes and stories are all incredible. Photofantasm is beautiful, massive, it is the image of a lovers community of Soundgarden. Thank you very much Jaye and Mike, as I told you in Paris, you are No.1 ! And thank you to the Knights of the Soundtable for your amazing pictures and stories.

    - Pascal Félicité
  • Picture this... I was working, when a colleague entered my office carrying a heavy package from the United States Post Service! I was seeing the comments in the KOTS Facebook group about Knights receiving their books. I wasn't expecting to receive it so fast. You see, I'm in Brazil.... so I was expecting it to arrive in about 30 days maybe? When I realized that it was my Photofantasm OMG !!! It feels like Christmas to me! and my work was done for the day... hahaha The book is amazing! Gorgeous photos. You can feel all the love and devotion. Soundgarden must be really proud with their awesome Knights !! Thank you Jaye and Mike. You did a great job, and you're so kind to share with the rest of the world. My compliments.

    - Joyce Driesmans
  • I was born in 92' and pretty much raised on Soundgarden, so taking part in this book was a huge thing for me. It's amazing how no other artist/band has had anything done like this before. Just amazes me how an artist, a band, an album, a song can bring so many people from different parts of the world to make something so beautiful come to life. How it's nothing but peace and love. We all share the same mutual feelings for the members, the songs, albums. We forget about all the terrible things we see on the news and unite with music. I feel almost like the band has no idea just how much of an impact their music has on people. They may not be the biggest band in the world, but they've made their mark on history forever, and this book is definitely something to solidify that mark. The love and dedication the fans have really shines through in this book. I am so very grateful to be a part of this with countless others. Jaye & Mike, thank you so much for this! It's amazing! To the band, I just want to say thank you all so much from the bottom of my heart for your music. You've inspired so many, and brought people from all over the world together with your music alone. On behalf of all the Knights Of The Soundtable, thank you! Loudest of Love to all!

    - Stephanie F. Rodriguez
  • A must have for any Soundgarden fan. Looks really good! Thanks for including my art within the pages of this great tribute.

    - MUNK ONE, Graphic Artist
  • While the mighty Soundgarden slumbered, their music was very much alive in my heart and stereo. I was ecstatic when they reunited and this book is a beautiful testament to the band, their triumphant return and the fans! The amount of details in the book is staggering and you can feel the emotion on every page. The quality is top notch and I love that proceeds are going to charity. I'm proud to have photos featured in the book. This is a must have for every Soundgarden fan. Awesome job Jaye and Mike!

    - Christy Borgman
  • I have been collecting books on bands since I was a kid and this is as good as they get!!

    - Dave Krusen, Original Pearl Jam drummer
  • The day I received PHOTOFANTASM, I read it cover to cover in one sitting. At 592 pages, that is quite a feat and a real testament to how fantastic this book is. And like SOUNDGARDEN's music, this book is heavy! It's the Sumo Wrestler of coffee table books. My lap hurts. I swear it weighs 25 pounds (okay, I just weighed it, it's only like 5 pounds, but still!). A truly fitting tribute to a truly amazing band. I am honoured to be a contributor, and thrilled to have this tome centered on my living room table.

    - Scott Crane, Actor, record producer, founder and former owner of Seattle's Soundhouse Recording Studios

  • I arrived home from vacation to find her there, waiting, ever so patiently. I dropped everything...the unpacking, the informing loved ones of my safe return, pretty much all of the usual responsibilities at the tail end of a good trip. I spent what seemed like hours, gently turning her pages, examining every beautiful little detail, reading her stories and many faces. Before I knew it, I was being summoned to bed by the other lady in my life...I mean, my lovely wife. You'll have to pardon my discombobulation... She is, after all, a product of pure passion. A work of art about art... and four artists ...and the thousands who truly "get it". A book of the highest quality, created with the greatest of care, by My People, the Knights of the SoundTable. She is a rarity. Only 1000 copies in existence. Blessed, as well, are the other 999. But She is mine. Thank you, Jaye and Mike, for dreaming so big and to everyone who helped give life to this beautiful book!

    - Russ Dean
  • This is a beautiful book and a true work of art. A fitting tribute to a real old school rock band. Kudos Jaye and Mike!

    - Kevin Wood, Malfunkshun lead guitarist
  • PHOTOFANTASM an amazing tome on one of the most pivotal bands of the modern era! Delighted that my work is entangled in such a kick-ass display of music, visual art, and earnest feeling for the mighty Soundgarden.

    - Jermaine Rogers, Graphic Artist
  • Whoa. I just got the new Soundgarden book, "Photofantasm" and it's a beautiful book all the way through. What an amazing book by fans, approved by the band. Good work x 1,000!! #photofantasm #soundgarden

    - Ryan Crase, Artist Manager, creator of Reignwolf and office lurker at Century Media Records/Concrete Media
  • Nice looking book. Glad to be a part of it. Well done!

  • I was beyond thrilled when Jaye and Mike told us, the faithful Soundgarden fans, they were putting together a Soundgarden book by the fans for the fans. I had just had such an amazing life-changing experience getting to see my favorite band reunite in 2010 while meeting such fun, creative, and just overall great people along the way, many of whom I already knew and loved from the many Chris Cornell shows I'd seen over the past few years (my way of making up not seeing Soundgarden in their heyday and also getting to experience Chris' music from all of his creative endeavors). I'd gone to the Vic and Lollapalooza shows in Chicago in 2010 and then when Soundgarden planned to tour big in 2011, we all got our concert tickets, plane tickets, meetup plans and cameras ready to go! Sharing the shows with so many fellow Knights of the Soundtable was such a fun time. We rocked the rail together and always had goals of getting great fan pictures of our favorite band and musicians. Then Jaye and Mike told us about the book project and we were all so stoked! Not only would we get to see all the pics of our guys Chris, Ben, Kim and Matt in action in the book, we were also going to see ourselves and our friends in the book so that we would all be a part of Soundgarden history forever! Very cool! As Jaye and Mike worked and worked on the project and enlisted help from fan friends and collaborators from all over the rock world as we know it, Soundgarden continued to delight us all by putting out a new album, King Animal, and having yet another tour! It was the Knights' time, and we were living the dream! It was all captured in the book as the authors made the decision to extend the timeframe covered in the book and to give us even more amazing photos and concert memories. As the 2013 American tour went into full swing, some of our delight was turning to sadness as we learned that our dear friend Tiffany Patterson-Gross was struggling again with her cancer battle and that it was in a severe life-threatening stage. The most poignant thing about Photofantasm is that Jaye and Mike decided to turn their epic project into charitable cause in tribute to our wonderful friend. The heart put into the effort is an inspiration to us all, and truly shows the caliber of people that we all are as a fan base and that we not only have love for our favorite rock band, Soundgarden, we have love for each other. There is true love in the pages of Photofantasm. There is passion in every page. There is also so much artistry by the authors and contributors, beautiful layouts, amazing photography, wonderful insights by other artists and musicians, and stories of people and friends loving music and being together enjoying it, all in a stunning layout in a book of the utmost quality. To have this book to remember the exact moments of the times I got to experience my favorite songs played by my favorite band while with my favorite people and even to see the exact looks on their faces while all of this was happening is truly a treasure that I can enjoy for the rest of my life. I can't say enough good things about the book. So thrilled to have been a part of it! Thanks, Jaye and Mike!

  • It's here! It's here! It's FINALLY here! This little (huge!) black book is absolute perfection and is already one my most treasured possessions...and it has zero to do with the fact that I've had it 5 min and already found 6 photos of me, one photo that I took, and two of my quotes...ok, maybe just a little. 😊 Seriously, I'm so emotional right now. There are so many faces that I love in here! So many memories!! And Jaye English and Mike English, well, I don't even have the words. Just phenomenal. Superior professional quality from cover to cover and yet it's so very obviously a labor of love, homegrown and organic, from all over the world. What a tribute to the greatest band on the planet! I will even forgive you for the one bad pic of me that will not be mentioned ever again. πŸ˜‰πŸ˜˜ Lastly, the dedication to our sweet dandelion, Tiffany Patterson-Gross, simply gorgeous. I can't stop trying to caress her sweet face in the photo of her side stage at The Paramount. That's EXACTLY my memory of the moment and how I will always remember her. Thank you Jaye & Mike & Chris & Matt & Ben & Kim & all of my Soundgarden tribe who contributed so, so much for this. #KOTSTFOREVER #LiveLoveTiff

  • I am writing to send you my compliments and congratulations on the book. It's well-designed and the photography and poster art looks great. We should all aspire to make books this nice.

  • I was like a kid at Christmas when I came home from work and saw the package sitting on my porch. The whole thing was beautifully done from the pictures to the interviews and reviews. It was total fucking godhead, thank you guys so much for putting the time and effort to put something so beautiful together. I just wish there was a picture of my son and I on the rail at the gorge right in front of Kim. I took him to 3 of the 5 shows that I went to on that tour. Oh well, we will always have the memory of seeing the best band on the planet in our minds. Great job and "Loud Love".

  • I was actually shaking a bit when I saw the box at my door. I opened the book like it was going to explode. Every page was a smogzboard of excellence. Memories Concerts, Finally meeting faces that were online only in KOTST. Real ppl, that love our SGarden boys. Then as I read..I remembered so many feelings with each page I turned. Seeing pictures from all over the world and set list, to the behind scenes. Reading other rockers love for THE BOYS also validates our commitment to THIS NOISE!!! Heavy book...I'm so pleased..and highly respect all those involved.Knowing the love that went into each page!!!! It's perfect..just perfect...Thank you Jaye and Mike..You shared your time, energy and love. Captured the essence of SG and the SGKs in this book.. It's a wonderful trip down SoundGarden fields forever...

  • The book is amazing! The preface Jaye and Mike wrote was very heart warming, and it seems there are other SG fans other than myself that share a passion for Nature (Africa) and the rest of the planet. I spent months working and hiking through the Amazon over the years and always had Soundgarden music with me, just like they did. So glad I could be a small part of it.

    - David Morales
  • This book is extraordinary and exceeded my expectations. If you're a fan of Soundgarden (not to mention photography, live music, concerts...), having a limited edition copy of this book is practically essential. It is a fitting tribute to Soundgarden and the dedication of their fans and supporters.

  • What can I say that hasn't already been said about this absolutely beautiful and passionate book! First off the quality of it is top, top class! Really well made and the decision to reprint was a great call, despite the fact it extended the wait! In the end anything this good is so worth the wait! Reading some of these accounts of shows makes me feel like I'm amongst friends. Sharing a passion for SG is what we all share and I love nothing more than reading others experiences in seeing them! The mix of amateur and professional pics blend seamlessly! There are some epic shots you guys (the fans) took! Love the format of gig poster/set list/photos/accounts for each show! Perfect!!! I could go on and on about this, I'll sum it up by saying this piece of SG history will stand along all my other SG vinyls and collectables! Thank you for making this happen, all of you that contributed!
